100 Days Digital Mastery Challenge Review

Review of Day #1

It was the first day of the 100 days digital mastery challenge. Have been eagerly waiting for the commencement of the program. Being a student with a part time job, these hard times of pandemic has put me in a difficult position. I lost my part time job and classes have not yet started. It has been hard to keep myself productive. That’s when I came to know about the 100 days digital mastery challenge. 

                    I usually do not take up anything seen online without a second thought. But since it was recommended to me by a trusted companion I decided to have look at it. The name Asheghar Digimentors was not a familiar name. That itself got me thinking. What the heck is a Digimentor? So, I decided to check out their profile and credibility online. I found that it is a Qatar based company, founded and presided by H.E. Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohamed Al Thani and cofounded by Business Consultant Mr. Shanavas as CEO who has 20 years of experience in digital marketing. I went through Mr. Shan's profile to check out his credentials too.😬 Got to make sure, you know.😄 Came to know about his outstanding achievements in the field listed on his website. Still, I wasn’t really convinced about the program or if I should take that up and invest my time on it. They offered the 100 Days Digital Mastery Workshop for free. For one thing, I really wanted to know what's the catch. On the same note, since they offered the course for FREE, I decided to give it a go😄😄. What would I lose to try out eh? Since then, I have been waiting for it to begin, just like a first grader for his first day. 😉 I attended his orientation sessions later on. It was the first time I was hearing about the concept of Digital Entrepreneurship and I was hooked to the idea.

So here I am after the first session with Mr. Shan. I’ve got to say this. It was a wonderful session. The insight he gave me into the possibilities of Digital marketing is an eye opener for me. I had never known it was such a huge market and people really have been earning hundreds and millions with no technical expertise as such.

He started the session with THREE promises. Someone starting a long journey ahead with such confidence in the success of his journey does really improve our confidence to keep up with his workshop on digital entrepreneurship. He went on to talk about the opportunities in digital marketing and the revenue shared by various digital platforms. The fact that a hell lot of services online that I took for granted as free services were actually provided by billion dollar companies with huge income per day and someone was making money off of it is a real thing to think about. Couldn’t say no to something like that.

In the 100 minutes of First Day of 100 Days challenge, these were my following takeaways :

-Success only comes with implementation or taking action. Just learning the techniques and strategies and going through the programme without this take action mentality may be a waste of time.

-ADM is providing mentees with an “intensive mentoring program” as he said. Thirty minutes mentoring session will be provided to the participants of the program free of cost. The Digital Mastery Mentorship program will definitely help get me the conviction to see through the 100 days, I think.

-From what I inferred, ADM’s aim is to accomplish the success of program with 100 days training, 100 minutes per day, with 1000 mentors for mentoring and 1000 mentees from 100 different countries in the world. By success he meant, as I quote “Help people change their lives”. Loved the idea !!!😍

-The programme will be spanning from first of July to October 28th.

-He gave a vivid description of the current scenario of online marketing, providing the details about the market size and revenue created by each sectors last year.

Online Digital Marketing is approximated as a 55 trillion dollar industry with different platforms having their huge shares. E-commerce generated a revenue of 1.8 trillion dollars last year. Youtube, currently the most trending social media platform in the world, paid off 7.5 billion dollars last year. I am waiting for the topic ‘how to make money via youtube without being a youtuber’. Social media influencers made around 8 billion dollars in revenue. Affiliate programs constituted a whooping 6.4 billion dollars industry. He mentioned about an yearly affiliates meeting called Affiliate World Asia.

- How to build Business Online? Working only around 300 minutes per day to build an online presence can create huge results.

- He asked us to do an activity during the session. It was very insightful. It was a really good way to evaluate the 'expectation vs reality' concept on ourselves. The activity was that, Mr. Shan asked to note down how many number of zeroes we think we can write within thirty seconds. He then gave us 30 seconds to actually start writing zeroes and find out the number. FYI, I though I could write only 30 zeroes but it came around 50.😎😎 He explained the three types of people based on this activity.

He talked very briefly about his business ventures, his financial status as of now and his expertise in the field. The way he had success selling holiday packages, his business in Hyderabadi pearls etc. I loved it when he said about his accomplishments, “It is nothing about me but my strategies”. That is a great perspective to look at one's success.

The program will benefit all kinds of people including those who are out of job, housewives, small, medium and large business owners looking to take up their business online, startups, investors with interest in online investment schemes as in buying domains, block chains etc.

How to start a business Online?

There are three important things to make money : Strategy, Organisation and Technology. He explained the basic steps to make money online including the importance of choosing the right business model and promotion of the same in the right way, which I hope will be elaborated in the upcoming sessions. He assured that in the 100 days program, he will be covering around one hundred business models.The example he cited, of the book “Every thing Men know about Women” was hilarious as well as thought provoking. If a thought as simple as that can make grands if marketed well, why am I not doing it? 😉

In the final thirty minutes he pitched in on one business idea. Start your business with downloadable products. The idea of selling downloadable products and different types of downloadable products, how do we get them and how to market them as a solution to people's problems was very well explained. He also talked about different types of downloadable products and their rights as in private label, master reseller rights, give away rights etc. This information was completely new to me.

                    So in conclusion, even though sitting through a 100 minute session is a tiresome process, I made through it somehow😎. Being new to the field, it was interesting to sit through the session. Did not feel bored though. Maybe because it was the first session and I have enough sessions coming up to get bored 😜. It is very hard to keep up with Mr. Shan's speed. I hope he will slow down a bit in the coming classes. I still have my reservations about ADM's 100 days challenge. But after the first session, I am motivated to continue through the program. Am I motivated to completely commit to the program is a different question. I hope I will be motivated enough. Mr Shan, I hope you do motivate us. Will see to it in the upcoming sessions.
