Sringaravelan Review and Box Office Collection Report

            Sringaravelan is the third release of Janapriya Nayakan Dileep in 2013. The movie is another comedy entertainer which will be a sure shot at the box office as it is a Dileep starrer. The movie is directed by Jose Thomas and scripted by the duo Udaykrishna and Siby K Thomas.

REVIEW :
             Sringaravelan is nothing different from the movies that are being released in the recent years with Dileep in the lead. Sringaravelan is another movie with a crap story, few comical scenes and a crappier climax. The story of Udaykrishna and Siby K Thomas has nothing new to offer and has all the usual ingredients in it. Kalabavan Shajon is the one who scored the most. Expected a lot with the entry of Baburaj but he had only a small screen time. This is the first movie of the Vedhika in Malayalam. Vedhika was gorgeous and a treat to watch but has nothing much to do. 
            Sringaravelan is no different from their previous movie Mayamohini and go for this one at your own risk.

BOX OFFICE :
 
             Sringaravelan has got released in almost 91 theatres all over kerala. The movie is receiving mixed reviews still better word of mouth considering his recent releases. The box office performance of Janapriya Nayakan Dileep's movie is unaffected by any negative reports. A Dileep starrer will be the first choice of any malayali household. Initial trends indicates that the movie will be the clear onam winner as well a top garner of this year. Also, Sringaravelan has bagged huge satellite rights of around 4.85 crores from Asianet.
              The first day total collection of the movie which released on Thiruvonam day is 70 lakhs. An increase in the collection is evident and the 3 day gross of the movie is 2.30 crores. Sringaravelan is the clear winner out of the onam releases with the first week collection of the movie to be around 5.50 crores. Only 'Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus' is holding up parallel to Sringaravelan in cinemas and North 24 katham is pacing slowly.
              Sringaravelan is still running successfully in 80 plus theatres. Two week total gross of the movie has reached 7.80 crores. The movie is still receiving terrific response from the audience in the weekends.
              Yet another Super Hit for Janapriya Nayakan! Three weeks total gross seems to be around 9.20 crores. Evident dip in the collection but the movie remains at the top itself and is expected to continue the trend for one more week.
             Sringaravelan has made an outstanding four week gross of 10.70 crores prior new releases aiming pooja and eid holidays. Dulquer Salmaan starrer 'Pattam Pole' and Aashiq Abu's 'Idukki Gold' are main contenders for Sringaravelan. So far, the theatrical show count has crossed 6,500.
            Sringaravelan has made a total box office collection of 12.25 Crores, thus becoming the highest grosser of 2013 so far crossing Romans.
